Another high-profile quarterback is reportedly entering the transfer portal ahead of the new college football season.
Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa has entered the portal, according to Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of 247 Sports. Tagovailoa would be considered a graduate transfer and would have one year of eligibility remaining if the NCAA were to clear him.

The younger brother of Tua Tagovailoa now becomes a high-profile option for quarterback-needy teams. He would undoubtedly be expecting to start wherever he lands, which would presumably narrow the list of potential destinations.
Tagovailoa has started for Maryland for the last three seasons and consistently put up big numbers for the Terps. He has 11,256 passing yards since joining Maryland, including 3,377 this past season. He threw for 25 touchdowns, just one shy of the career best he posted in 2021.
We already know that Tagovailoa stands to make a lot of money by transferring. Expect to see him playing at a big program in 2024.
