Sunday’s roast of legendary New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady yielded a surprising moment – a momentary truce between Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft.
Belichick and Kraft were both present to deliver a few playful jabs during “The Roast Of Tom Brady” comedy special, which aired live on Netflix.
Late into the roast, comedian Kevin Hart called on both Kraft and Belichick to take a shot together. The two men obliged.
Kraft also gave the world one final message before taking the shot.
“I want to say, [Bill Belichick] is the greatest coach in the history of the game that did what no one else has done," Kraft said. "And having Tom Brady and him was the greatest honor that the good Lord gave me."

Kraft and Belichick have reportedly been at odds with one another over the past few seasons. There was even buzz that Kraft had cost Belichick a potential coaching job with the Atlanta Falcons.
Despite the differences between Brady, Kraft and Belichick over the years, each man was integral to the Patriots’ unrivaled run from 2001 to 2018. The memory of winning six Super Bowls together probably helps ease any built-up animosity between them – at least for one night.
Brady did show that he still has Kraft’s back given how upset he appeared to be with one foul joke about the Patriots owner.
