The career of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is already on a Hall of Fame trajectory. However, after earning another trip to the Super Bowl, he's on his way to becoming the GOAT.
Following the Chiefs' 17-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game, Mahomes' resume is beginning to look eerily similar to arguably the best ever to do it, Tom Brady.

When comparing Mahomes and Brady over their first six seasons as starting QBs, the face of the Chiefs rivals him in nearly every category, besting him in regular season wins (72), playoff wins (14), conference titles (4), touchdown passes (258) and QB rating (103.7).
However, the significant number is beside Lombardi Trophies, where Mahomes can equal Brady with a win in Super Bowl LVIII against either the Detroit Lions or San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11.
The Chiefs' offense was kept off the scoreboard in the second half by the Ravens' vaunted defense, but Mahomes had one of his better performances overall on Sunday.
He completed 30-of-39 passes for 241 yards (6.2 YPA) with a touchdown and no interceptions and was 9-of-13 on third down, throwing for 100 yards and seven first downs in the clutch.
Furthermore, according to Next Gen Stats, Mahomes recorded a season-high +8.0% of his passes over expected against the Ravens.
If his performance proves anything, it's that Mahomes is still Mahomes. During a season where he and his team faced more doubts than any other, he responded, first dispatching Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, and now Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens en route to another Super Bowl berth.
In two weeks, he can put himself on the same championship pace as Brady and at only 28, this could be only the start for Mahomes, who is showing no signs of slowing down.
