NBA Props for Thursday 4/11: Back Scoot, bag loot

Gary Trent Jr. did not play last night so we lost one of our bets. That made for a 2-1 day with some profit-taking as we get nearer and nearer to the end of the season. Thank you, Grant Williams and PJ Washington.

Tonight we have a lighter schedule with only five NBA games. The Pelicans at the Kings should be entertaining and the Knicks visit Boston in a battle of big brands.

NBA Props for Thursday, April 11

Jalen Duren Over 10.5 Rebounds (+105)
Bulls vs. Pistons, 7 p.m. ET

Duren is one of the most productive rebounders in the league and I am not sure why we are able to get him at such a discount tonight. For starters, he is averaging 11.6 rebounds on the season. That should have made the pricing here something like -110, not +105. In two games against Chicago, he posted 10 and 15 boards, respectively.

Scoot Henderson Over 3.5 Rebounds (+130)
Warriors vs. Trail Blazers, 10 p.m. ET

Scoot is averaging 35 mpg in April. The Trail Blazers have nothing to play for so they are giving him some run. This number is set just above his seasonal averages but the payout more than justifies the risk. I am playing more to the opponent here in the sense that the Warriors bring some juice, Scoot vs. Curry. That is enough to get him over this number. His numbers against the Warriors from earlier in the season were from when he was in a different role.

Keon Ellis Over 2.5 Assists (+135)
Pelicans vs. Kings, 10 p.m. ET

Sacramento is one of a handful of teams with something to play for over the last few games. They have to do their best for results and injuries have opened a real spot for playing time for Ellis. He might be third on the team in terms of playmaking but he has had three or more assists four times over the last 10 games, including five in their last game. He takes some of the burden off of De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.

Rayan Rupert Over 1.5 Made Three Pointers (+110)
Warriors vs. Trail Blazers, 10 p.m. ET

Like Henderson above, Rupert is getting a chance to show what he can do with Portland. He does not have the same profile as his lottery pick teammate but he has shown he can shoot it, making 39% from deep as a rookie. There is no reason to be shy tonight and three times in the last five games he has made more than one shot from behind the arc.
