Last year, the Chicago Bulls traveled to Miami to play the Heat for the No. 8 seed. It's happening again this year, but will the result be different than last year's close Miami win?
Miami is missing some key players from last year's team. In particular, Max Strus put up 31 points in the Heat's 102-91 win, in which Chicago led the eventual Eastern Conference champions with under three minutes to go. But Strus is gone, having left for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the offseason. Miami also won't have its old backcourt of Gabe Vincent and Kyle Lowry, though the two combined for just five points in last year's game.
Chicago is missing Zach LaVine, who had a rough 6-for-21 shooting performance. But the biggest difference in the Bulls is Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu, two young guards who are much better this season.
White doubled his scoring this year and put up 42 points in Wednesday's play-in game. The 24-year-old Dosunmu turned himself into a deadly three-point shooter this season, making twice as many three-pointers at a 40.3 percent clip. He's also playing some impressive defense.

The biggest factor might be Miami's health. Terry Rozier hasn't played for ten days with a neck injury. Duncan Robinson has a bad back. And Jimmy Butler may have an MCL injury after an awkward landing after a collision with Kelly Oubre Jr. Wednesday.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. It's two very different squads wearing the exact same jerseys. Chances are, this year's Bulls-Heat battle to claim the No. 8 seed will be just as hard-fought as last year's.
