Former first-round WR named trade candidate during 2024 NFL Draft

There's no doubt that several teams will be trading up and down in the 2024 NFL Draft to land some of the class's top prospects. However, veterans could also be on the move, and some teams may be willing to part with some of their draft capital for already established players.

Pro Football Focus's Marcus Mosher named one former first-round wide receiver a "realistic trade" candidate.

"The Titans have a new regime, which means previous draft picks could be on the block," Mosher writes. "One player who might not fit Brian Callahan's offense is Treylon Burks, especially after signing Calvin Ridley to a huge deal."

Burks, the No. 18 pick in 2022, has been a disappointment to begin his NFL career. Through his first two seasons, he has just 49 catches for 665 yards and one touchdown.

The 24-year-old has also been limited by injuries, playing in just 11 games each of his first two years. However, that may be the reason why a team could be willing to take a chance on him.

Burks had a ton of upside coming out of Arkansas where he totaled 117 catches for 1,924 yards and 18 touchdowns in his final two years. If another team believes he's still scratching the surface, it could certainly make a deal for him during the NFL Draft.

Which team could that be?

"One team that makes a lot of sense for Burks is the Dallas Cowboys, who would like to add a receiver at some point this offseason," Mosher writes. "If the Cowboys don't draft a wide receiver on the first two days of the draft, don't be surprised if they call about Burks."

Mosher also names the Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers as potential destinations.

A new era is beginning in Tennessee as Callahan and his coaching staff are taking over. If the Titans don't see Burks as part of their future, it wouldn't be surprising if he's dealt by the end of the weekend.
