Boom! Julio Rodriguez went yard on Tuesday night to finally put an end to our home run prop drought. Let's keep the momentum rolling with three more HR picks for Wednesday's MLB slate.
Mariners vs. Rangers, 8:05 p.m. ET
Texas Rangers starter Jon Gray has surrendered only two home runs in five starts this season, but he's been a bit lucky to keep so many balls in the park. The right-hander is giving up the fourth-highest barrel rate (15.1 percent) and the 26th-highest fly ball rate (32.1 percent) among qualified pitchers, per Baseball Savant. The home runs are coming, and Mitch Haniger already has two home runs in only six at-bats against Gray in his career.
Padres vs. Rockies, 8:40 p.m. ET
Our eyes lit up when we saw the weather forecast in Denver calling for helping wind blowing out to center field. Coors Field is already one of the friendliest home run parks in MLB due to the altitude, but a helping wind will only aid our cause here. We're rolling first with Jake Cronenworth, who has three home runs and the second-highest slugging percentage on the San Diego Padres this season. The first baseman also leads the team in barrel rate and sweet spot rate, so his price shouldn't be this high in ideal hitting conditions.
Padres vs. Rockies, 8:40 p.m. ET
We have no problem doubling up on home run props at Coors Field, so let's add a second bet from the same game. Brenton Doyle leads the Colorado Rockies in home runs (three) and slugging percentage (.578) against right-handed pitching, which is a great sign with righty Matt Waldron on the mound for the Padres. Doyle is also batting .385 and slugging .692 over the last week. He doesn't have a home run in that span, but he's due for a long ball the way he's swinging the bat.
