Mitchell had 34 points through three quarters of Cleveland’s 103-96 loss in Orlando. In a low-scoring game, part of a low-scoring series, the Cavaliers’ All-Star guard tried to do it all himself, dishing three assists but mainly calling his own number with a game-high 50 points.
It was all guards for the Cavs, with Darius Garland putting up 21 points through three quarters. The starting backcourt had 71 of Cleveland’s 96 points Friday night, a testament to the two All-Stars’ offensive game and the lack of scoring punch from their teammates.
