Minnesota Timberwolves not named Anthony Edwards scored just 15 points in the first half of Game 1. Good thing he had 25.

Edwards scored 13 of Minnesota’s first 16 points as the Timberwolves jumped out to a big lead in Game 1 of their second-round series with the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets would rally to take the lead, only for Edwards to score nine straight points for the Timberwolves in the second quarter to keep his team close.

Edwards finished the first half with 62.5% of the Timberwolves' points, as they went into halftime trailing 44-40. They also got nine points from Karl-Anthony Towns – and six from the other six Wolves who played.

Even the Towns three from that clip came due to Denver’s defensive attention on Edwards. Towns has struggled to post up against Denver’s Aaron Gordon.
Aside from his scoring prowess, Edwards also posted a steal and a block and without turning the ball over.
The Wolves need a more balanced attack in the series. But until that balance arrives, Edwards seems ready to win Game 1 by himself.
