Three offseason moves the Browns must make

The Browns have one of the most complete rosters in the NFL. The only thing that seems to be between them and a Super Bowl is health and keeping the team together.

With that in mind, here are three more moves Cleveland should make this offseason to extend its Super Bowl window.

Extend wide receiver Amari Cooper

General manager Andrew Berry already hinted there's a strong possibility of this happening.

"Coop's a Pro Bowl-caliber receiver. He's played really well for us the past two years," Berry said via Keith Britton of 92.3 The Fan. "He's a strong presence in the locker room. We love him. Players like that, you want to make sure that you can retain as long as possible."

Cooper is entering the final year of the five-year deal he signed with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020, which puts his future with the team in question.

The 29-year-old has been nothing short of productive since joining the Browns in 2022, posting 150 catches for 2,410 yards and 14 touchdowns the past two years.

Signing Cooper to a new deal could lower his $24M cap hit this season while also locking him up for many years to come.

Extend head coach Kevin Stefanski

Stefanski is entering the final year of his contract and there's no arguing he's deserving of a new one after leading the Browns to the playoffs with five different starting quarterbacks in 2023.

The two-time NFL Coach of the Year has helped turn the franchise around in short time. Cleveland has gone from a team with just two winning seasons from 1999-2019 to one with two winning seasons the past four years.

What Stefanski has done with an often-injured team is impressive. Giving him more time to see what he can do with an uber-talented roster is a no-brainer.

Extend linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

Owusu-Koramoah has been one of the best draft picks of Berry's tenure. He was viewed as a first-round talent but somehow fell to pick No. 52 in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

The 24-year-old is now entering the final year of his rookie deal and the Browns must do whatever it takes to retain him.

Over the past three years, Owusu-Koramoah has registered 247 tackles, five sacks, five forced fumbles, two interceptions and 14 passes defensed.
