Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Sassuolo winger Armand Lauriente.
According to journalist Mirko Di Natale, Tottenham have watched the 25-year-old winger in action ‘several times’ this season and they could look to make a move for him during the summer transfer window. They will face competition from London rivals West Ham United.
Lauriente has done quite well for the Italian club this season and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for the north London club. He will add goals and creativity to the Spurs attack. He is versatile enough to operate on both flanks and he could be an asset for Ange Postecoglou.
The French attacker has five goals and five assists in all competitions this season and his numbers are likely to improve when he is playing in a better team alongside better teammates. The attacking system at Tottenham could bring out the best in him as well.
Tottenham are certainly a more attractive unit compared to West Ham and therefore they could be favourites to sign the player if they are truly intent on bringing him to the Premier League. A move to England will be an attractive opportunity for the player as well. He will hope that the two clubs can secure an agreement soon.
Tottenham will have to improve their attacking options this summer and signing a versatile winger would be a wise decision. They need to add more depth and quality to the side if they want to qualify for the Champions League and push for trophies.
They have shown improvement this season, but they need quality additions during the summer transfer window if they want to get to the next level. Someone like Lauriente will certainly help them improve going forward.
