2024 NHL Draft Lottery Results: Blackhawks Land No. 2 Pick

The results of the 2024 NHL Draft Lottery are in, and the Chicago Blackhawks landed the second overall pick. The San Jose Sharks, who had the best odds for the top selection entering the event, landed the No. 1 overall pick, giving them the opportunity to select consensus top prospect Macklin Celebrini.

After winning the 2023 NHL Draft Lottery and selecting Connor Bedard, the Blackhawks finished with the league's second-worst record this season. That mark gave them the following odds in the 2024 NHL Draft Lottery:

• Odds for No. 1 pick: 13.5%
• Odds for No. 2 pick: 14.1%
• Odds for No. 3 pick: 30.7%
• Odds for No. 4 pick. 41.7%

Also due to their finish, the Blackhawks couldn't drop below the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
