Free agent NBA point guard Quinn Cook has agreed to a contract with Puerto Rican club Cangrejeros de Santurce, per the Real GM transactions log.
Cook, 31, is 6-foot-1 and last made a run in the NBA this past fall, when he was waived by the Sacramento Kings in training camp. He last played in the league with the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2020-21 season, appearing in seven games.
He has also spent time with the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks, winning two championships along the way. In 2022-23, he played for the Stockton Kings, Sacramento’s G League affiliate.
But Cook was unable to land a job in the NBA two weeks into the season, likely leading to his decision to try his hand internationally. This marks his second time outside of the U.S., having played six games for Lokomotiv Kuban of Russia in 2020-21.
The former Duke standout and NCAA champion has also spent time with Zhejiang Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association and Gigantes de Carolina of Puerto Rico.
Cook carries NBA career averages of 6.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 188 games overall.
