The Minnesota Twins recalled right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson from Triple-A St. Paul to start Thursday's game against the Chicago White Sox in Minneapolis.
Woods Richardson (1-0, 1.50 ERA) recorded the first win of his major-league career during the nightcap of a doubleheader on April 13. He allowed one run on two hits and struck out five in six innings of the Twins' 4-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
Woods Richardson, 23, is 1-1 with a 4.60 ERA in three career appearances (two starts) with Minnesota. He has yet to face the White Sox.
To make room for Woods Richardson on the 26-man roster, the Twins optioned right-hander Ronny Henriquez to St. Paul. Henriquez, 23, allowed two hits over two scoreless innings in relief on Monday in his lone appearance this season with Minnesota.
