The Tampa Bay Rays placed right-hander Chris Devenski on the 15-day injured list on Monday due to right knee tendinitis.
The move is retroactive to Friday, so he will be eligible to return as soon as May 11.
In a corresponding move, the Rays recalled left-hander Jacob Lopez from Triple-A Durham.
Devenski, 33, is 1-1 with a 7.71 ERA, six walks and 11 strikeouts in 14 innings over nine relief appearances. The win came in his most recent game, pitching one inning and allowing three hits and two runs in a 7-5 win over the visiting Detroit Tigers on Wednesday.
For his career, Devenski is 26-22 with eight saves, a 3.93 ERA, 103 walks and 402 strikeouts in 387 1/3 innings over 293 games (seven starts) for the Houston Astros (2016-20), Arizona Diamondbacks (2021-22), Philadelphia Phillies (2022), Los Angeles Angels (2023) and Rays (2023-present).
Lopez, 26, has pitched one scoreless inning for the Rays this season, not allowing any hits and hitting one batter.
