On Monday morning, the Cleveland Browns added an important piece of depth for their offense ahead of the practice portion of OTAs this month. The Browns are getting their roster to 90 players for the offseason as they prepare to make a deep run in the playoffs for the upcoming season.
Per a statement by the Browns, the team signed former Los Angeles Rams center Brian Allen:
Allen (6-2, 303) is entering his seventh NFL season out of Michigan State. Originally selected by the Rams in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Allen has appeared in 50 career games with 32 starts. He started at center and helped the Rams capture Super Bowl LVI. Allen appeared as a reserve in five games last season.

Allen was beaten out by Colton Shelton (now with the Chicago Bears) for the starting job at center last season. Allen played in a total of 34 offensive snaps in three games for the Rams last season. According to Pro Football Focus, Allen earned a 69.2 overall grade for his play last season.
Allen had a fantastic season when the Rams won the Super Bowl in 2021. He earned an 80.2 grade from PFF for that season. He was named an alternate for the Pro Bowl but could not play due to his participation in the Super Bowl.
