The New York Giants added a quarterback recently waived by the New England Patriots before the practice portion of OTAs this spring. With the transaction, the Giants will now have four quarterbacks on their roster.
The Giants have had an interesting offseason with their quarterback’s room. They added former Denver Broncos starting quarterback Drew Lock to compete with Daniel Jones for the QB1 job this fall. The Giants were expected to look at taking a quarterback with their No. 6 pick in the draft. However, the Giants chose to select wide receiver Malik Nabers with the pick instead.
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Giants claimed Rourke off waivers from the Patriots. The former CFL “star” was released by the Patriots on Monday. He’ll join Jones, Lock, and Tommy DeVito in the Giants quarterback room this offseason.
