Cardinals’ OTAs, rookie minicamp, possible schedule release on deck this month
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals may have finished their extensive work at the 2024 NFL Draft, but that is only the beginning of getting their operations back into the swing of things before next season.

On Friday, the busy month of May for the Cards starts with the rookie minicamp. This is where newly drafted and undrafted players will take part in practices and other activities to become more acclimated with the facilities and staff of the team.

During the draft, WR Marvin Harrison Jr., DL Darius Robinson, CB Max Melton, RB Trey Benson, OT Isaiah Adams, TE Tip Reiman, CB Elijah Jones, S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, DE Xavier Thomas, OT Christian Jones, WR Tejhaun Palmer and CB Jaden Davis were all selected by Arizona.

The rookie minicamp will last from Friday to Sunday as a three-day event.

After a weeklong break, there are two sessions of Organized Team Activities (OTAs) in store for the Cardinals.

The first set of OTAs begin on May 20 and go through the 22nd before the other round on May 28-30. There is will be a third session of OTAs – but next month on June 3-6 – as this will all lead up to the mandatory minicamp on June 11-13.

Also at some point this month, the Cardinals’ 2024 season schedule is expected to be released, though it is not confirmed. Arizona knows their opponents for the season as the list can be viewed on the team’s official website, but the dates and times of each game are unavailable.

The Cards will play the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks twice each as they are all in the NFC West. In Glendale, the Cardinals will also face the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Washington Commanders and Los Angeles Chargers. On the road, they will go up against the Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins.
