NFL Analyst Makes Shocking Prediction For Giants’ QB Job

Seems kind of hard to agree with Hunt on this one.

While Jones has certainly not shown a whole lot over his first five NFL seasons, he also hasn’t exactly been dealt a great hand.

The Giants have had a miserable offensive line, and Jones has never had a true No. 1 receiver to throw to. Heck, a legitimate argument can be made that New York hasn’t even really had a true No. 2-caliber guy throughout Jones’ tenure.

This offseason, however, the Giants have improved their offensive line, and they selected LSU wide out Malik Nabers with the sixth overall pick of the NFL Draft.

Now, Jones may finally get some adequate protection, and he also has a serious weapon to hit in the aerial attack. With Nabers, Darius Slayton and youngsters like Jalin Wyatt and Wan’Dale Robinson, Big Blue suddenly has an interesting receiving corps.

While Hunt says that Jones is clearly not the answer, Lock has never shown that he can be an actual answer for anyone under center, either. So why not just give Jones one more shot?

Of course, staying on the field has also been a big problem for Jones, as he has experienced neck issues, and he is coming off of a torn ACL.

But if Jones is healthy heading into 2024, there is really no reason why the Giants shouldn’t give him another chance. Plus, his contract is guaranteed through next season.

Now, if Jones falls flat again, then maybe the Lock discussion can be opened.
