For sports fans, ESPN Plus is the ideal platform. The streaming service provides a wide selection of sports content, including live coverage of professional and amateur leagues like MLB, NHL, MLS, PGA golf, college football, international soccer and tennis. In-depth game recaps and analyses, premium articles, original programming, and the archive of the acclaimed "30 for 30" documentary series are all available to subscribers. Additionally, it holds exclusive rights to UFC fights and pay-per-view events. How much is ESPN Plus? Read on to find out.

What packages does ESPN Plus offer?

There are three main ESPN Plus packages. The initial option is a standalone subscription, which costs $10.99 per month or $109.99 per year.

If you’re a combat sports fan, ESPN Plus provides unrivaled coverage. However, if you want to see the major PPV matches in the UFC, you must pay an extra $79.99 per event. Pay-per-view or PPV packages (PPV and an annual ESPN Plus subscription) are available for $134.98.

The most value-packed deal is the Disney Plus Bundle which starts at $14.99 per month for ESPN Plus, Disney Plus and Hulu with ads or $24.99 monthly, commercial-free. Another option for those interested in Live TV streaming is a bundle with Hulu + Live TV, ESPN Plus and Disney Plus, starting at $76.99 per month (ad-supported) or $89.99 per month (ad-free).

The monthly, annual and PPV plans for ESPN Plus allow for up to three simultaneous streams. ESPN Plus content always includes ads, whether you subscribe to the standalone service or bundle it with Disney Plus and Hulu. Here’s what you need to know about each of the options.

Monthly and Annual

The monthly fee for a standalone subscription is $10.99. Users also have the option of signing up for an entire year with a fee of $109.99. Subscribers have access to live coverage of games in a variety of sports, including basketball, baseball, field hockey, football, ice hockey, lacrosse, MMA, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, track and field, volleyball and wrestling. UFC Fight Night matches, and tennis coverage from Wimbledon and the U.S. Open are all available with a subscription.

ESPN Plus also features original content centered on prominent athletes like "Man in the Arena" and "The Places Universe." The paywall on premium articles from ESPN Insiders is removed with an ESPN Plus subscription. The entire collection of ESPN's award-winning "30 for 30" sports documentary series, which includes "O.J.: Made in America," is also available on the platform.

Pay-Per-View (PPV) Package

ESPN Plus really shines when it comes to combat sports. Although an ESPN Plus subscription only costs $10.99 per month, you cannot access all UFC events without paying additional fees. UFC's PPV events, or numbered events, are its main draw and are only available on ESPN Plus. As a result, each time a main card PPV event occurs, you will also need to pay an extra $79.99 on top of your monthly subscription fee of $10.99 for the standalone option. The PPV Package includes PPV access to the next event and an annual subscription to ESPN Plus, and costs $134.98.

The Disney Plus Bundle

Customers who sign up for the Disney Plus Bundle can access ESPN Plus as well as thousands of hours of content across two other platforms.

With Disney Plus, you can watch Star Wars movies and television shows like "The Book of Boba Fett" and "The Mandalorian," as well as the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, which features titles like “Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Loki." Disney Plus also features original series like "High School Musical: The Series," "Hamilton," "Dancing with the Stars" and more, as well as other exclusive content.

From Hulu Originals like "Only Murders in the Building" to box office hits like "Spider-Man: No Way Home," Hulu is home to thousands of TV shows and movies. Moreover, Disney Plus Bundle subscribers who select the Hulu + Live TV option can watch more than 90 live TV channels in addition to a large selection of on-demand movies and TV shows.

What channels does ESPN Plus offer?

You will not find any local channels or broadcast channels on ESPN Plus. It is the go-to destination for streaming thousands of live sporting events. But with the Disney Plus Bundle with Hulu + Live TV, viewers can watch over 90 channels, including ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC, as well as ESPN, CNN, Bravo and Cartoon Network. The streamer also offers TNT and TBS, which are notably not available on the sports-centric platform FuboTV.

What add-ons does ESPN Plus offer?

While ESPN Plus does not offer any add-ons, you can still get a more well-rounded streaming experience by bundling it with Disney Plus and Hulu. Access thousands of live sports events, movies, and shows, including the entire MCU, Disney's animated film library and Hulu Originals like "Only Murders in the Building."

ESPN Plus free trial and deals

Unfortunately, ESPN Plus does not offer a free trial. Trying out the service is risk-free because monthly subscriptions start at only $10.99 and can be canceled at any time. The annual plan costs $109.99.

Is ESPN Plus worth it?

ESPN Plus is a must-have for die-hards who follow the UFC, NHL or NCAA. A subscription is well worth it, even if you are just a casual sports fan who wants to save money while still watching various games. The limited live streaming of games may disappoint NBA and NFL fans. And fans with an interest in a wider variety of sports may want to use ESPN Plus as an addition to ESPN's regular programming or consider a sports-heavy streamer like FuboTV. If you are looking for a package that the whole family can enjoy, the Disney Plus Bundle includes ESPN Plus in addition to Disney Plus and Hulu's extensive library of movies and TV shows. The Hulu + Live TV option makes it a complete package by adding more than 90 channels.
