Behind the triple-scoring threat of Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum, the Pelicans are a serious threat to other would-be contenders in this year's NBA Playoffs.
After sneaking into the western conference playoffs with their win against the Kings in the play-in tournament, the Pelicans now face off against the number one seed, Oklahoma City Thunder, in the first round of the playoffs.
As we head down the stretch run, Pelicans fans will be eager to see how the season plays out. Thankfully, they can do just that — with or without cable. Live TV streaming services carry all the channels you need to watch Pelicans all season long and into the postseason. Keep reading to find out how to watch the New Orleans Pelicans live in 2024.
Like the rest of the NBA’s teams, any nationally televised Pelicans games will air nationally on ABC, TNT, ESPN and NBA TV. Regionally, fans can check out the New Orleans team on Bally Sports New Orleans. Here’s where you’ll find all the channels on the major live TV streaming platforms.

Sling TV offers three plans: Sling Orange, Sling Blue or Sling Orange & Blue. Sling Orange has 32-plus channels. Sling Blue has 40-plus channels, and Sling Orange & Blue will give you all the channels from both Sling TV plans.
Sling Orange includes TNT and ESPN, while Sling Blue features TNT and (in some markets) ABC. Customers who have access to ABC in Sling Blue or Sling Orange & Blue will see a slightly higher price point when they subscribe. For NBA TV, you’ll need to add on Sports Extra for an additional monthly fee. It also includes ESPNU, NHL Network, MLB Network and more. All Sling plans include 50 hours of cloud DVR storage so you can catch up on any Pelicans games you have to miss.
Unfortunately, Sling doesn’t carry regional sports networks (RSNs) like Bally Sports New Orleans. To watch local Pelicans games, you’ll need a subscription to Bally Sports Plus (in-market) or NBA League Pass (out-of-market).
You can choose from four different packages with DIRECTV STREAM. The Entertainment package offers over 75 channels, the Choice package offers over 105 channels, the Ultimate package offers over 140 channels and the Premier package offers over 150 channels.
If you opt for the Choice, Ultimate or Premier packages, you’ll get all the channels you need to watch the Pelicans. NBA TV and Bally Sports New Orleans aren’t included in the Entertainment package, however. With any of DIRECTV STREAM’s plans, you can stream on unlimited screens in your home and enjoy unlimited cloud DVR space as well.
If you live outside the Pelicans market, you can add NBA League Pass to your DIRECTV STREAM plan to keep up with the team.
With Fubo, you'll choose from the Pro, Elite or Premier packages. Keep in mind the number of channels you’ll have available can vary based on your location, but Fubo offers vastly more channels than any of the other streaming services. Regardless of plan, you’ll also pay a regional sports fee of up to $14.99 a month, depending on your market.
Fans will get ABC, ESPN and Bally Sports New Orleans included in the basic Fubo plan, but NBA TV requires the Elite plan or one of several add-ons for between $7.99 and $10.99 per month. Fubo also includes 1,000 hours of cloud DVR with all of its plans, and the Elite plan also includes 4K viewing, so you can watch NBA games in high-definition. Unfortunately, no Fubo plans offer TNT.
Hulu + Live TV has several plans that differ only in terms of the number of ads you have to watch. All have the same on-demand library and over 95 live TV channels. Pelicans fans can watch their team on ABC, ESPN and TNT, but Hulu + Live TV doesn’t offer NBA TV or RSNs like Bally Sports New Orleans.
However, a Hulu + Live TV subscription also includes Disney Plus and ESPN Plus, which means extra content to enjoy. With ESPN Plus in particular, fans will have access to more sports-related viewing, including highlights, commentary and more. You’ll also have unlimited DVR storage to keep up with all the Pelicans action.
If you like what Hulu + Live TV has to offer, consider adding more Pelicans games with an over-the-top subscription to Bally Sports Plus (in-market) or NBA League Pass (out-of-market).
YouTube TV costs $72.99 per month for more than 110 channels. You don’t have to deal with choosing which plan is right for you, as there’s only one plan to subscribe to. Channel offerings include ABC, TNT, ESPN and NBA TV, with no need for add-ons. While you won’t get Bally Sports New Orleans, you’ll still have a ton of other channels to stream while you’re not watching the Pelicans.
YouTube TV also offers unique viewing features like Key Plays View — where you can see the hottest parts of the games over and over — and Stats View. This provides in-the-moment insights into your favorite teams and players. All subscribers get unlimited cloud DVR storage, and YouTube TV offers NBA League Pass as an add-on — a great option for out-of-market Pelicans fans.
With NBA League Pass, you get full access to all out-of-market games that aren’t airing on national TV. As long as you live outside the Pelicans TV market, you can use NBA League Pass to watch most games.
NBA League Pass starts at $14.99 a month or $99.99 a season. You can also opt for a single-team pass for $89.99 a season.
A subscription to YouTube TV gives you access to ABC, TNT, ESPN and NBA TV. All of these channels broadcast national games. However, Pelicans fans can’t access Bally Sports New Orleans via YouTube TV.
DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo both offer Bally Sports New Orleans to viewers in the New Orleans viewing area. Currently, those are the only two streamers that offer this regional sports network.
Fubo carries NBA games on ABC, ESPN and NBA TV. The sports-focused streaming platform also carries many regional sports networks with NBA games, such as Bally Sports New Orleans.
