AFC executive believes that the Ravens may have pulled off a steal in most crucial part of the NFL Draft

The Baltimore Ravens were able to hit a possible home run that the end of the first round in the 2024 NFL Draft that could look like quite the steal down the road.

Clemson CB Nate Wiggins being available at pick No. 30 made it an easy selection for the Ravens, who clearly went best available player on their board with the pick.

Now, according to ESPN, one executive in the AFC believes that the Ravens got the steal of the entire first round.

"He's smooth, and even though he's thin, he plays big," the AFC personnel executive said. "That was the steal of the first round for me."

Wiggins was viewed as a top-20 player no matter where you looked throughout the draft process. Quinyon Mitchell and Terrion Arnold were the two cornerbacks who came off of the board before Wiggins was selected by Baltimore in the first round.

"He's terrible against the run, but if you're asking him to cover, he's the best in the class,” one AFC scout said, per ESPN.

Wiggins runs a 4.2 40-yard dash at 6-foot-1 and is only 20 years old. He needs to add a few pounds to his slim build that is under 180 pounds, but it is easy to see why the NFL was high on him.

Baltimore will have the chance to have a special cornerback duo in Marlon Humphrey and eventually Wiggins one day has to be their plan. Going into the draft, there is a real possibility that the Ravens didn’t even think they would be able to draft Wiggins.
