Kristian Reichel Signs Three-Year Deal with Adler Mannheim
John Leyba-USA TODAY Sports

The Manitoba Moose have officially parted ways with Kristian Reichel as Adler Mannheim of the DEL locked up the forward to a three-year contract.

Reichel, a non-drafted Jets prospect, has spent the past six years in Winnipeg. He signed a one-year AHL deal with the Manitoba Moose and hasn’t looked back. He would later sign a two-year NHL entry-level contract with the Winnipeg Jets in June 2020 and make his NHL debut in year two of the deal where he scored his first NHL goal in his second-ever NHL game.

After this contract expired, he would sign another two-year contract extension which took him to the end of the 2023-24 season. He would play another two games for the Jets in the 2022-23 season.

In the 2023-24 AHL season with the Moose, he would record a remarkable year which is even more impressive since it took him a long while to score goal number one of the season. Reichel recorded career highs in goals (23), assists (19), and points (42) in 70 games for the Moose.

Adler Mannheim of the German DEL was able to successfully negotiate and bring in Reichel on a three-year contract. This will be a harsh pill to swallow for Manitoba as Reichel was one-third of the Identity Line with Jeffrey Viel and Parker Ford.
