Snow King Mountain in Wyoming is now hosting a planetarium experience at their ski resort (the first of its kind), and grand opening tickets--featuring engineer, comedian, author and inventor Bill Nye--were available on May 3rd for the show on June 1st.
Tickets include a speech and Q&A from Bill Nye, a planetarium experience, and access to the Gondola. See below.
We all remember Bill Nye from middle school science class, when a teacher would set up a box TV and delight the kids in the classroom with the show "Bill Nye The Science Guy."
But now, you can see Nye in real life, and in real time, at Snow King's planetarium.
The Snow King Observatory is situated 8,000 feet and is the only observatory on a North American ski area.
The observatory has a 1-meter primary mirror Planewave telescope, 360-degree theater, and interactive globe with live data from NOAA.
Officials at Snow King write, "for those who signed up for a Planetarium experience before Bill Nye’s speech, please arrive at the bottom of the gondola 20 minutes before the start of your Planetarium experience."
A very limited number of tickets will be available for guests to return to the Snow King Observatory and Planetarium on the grand opening night.
Evening Experience add-on tickets are $100. Programming runs from 9pm-12am.
Please note, this is a grand opening introduction tour of the facility. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from 3pm-8pm.
