There are athletes such as Lionel Messi and Michael Jordan who have also previously signed deals. Both of these players were considered one of the best in their perspective sport.
Wilson joins collegiate basketball stars Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers who also signed deals with the company. Gatorade has been a sponsor of the WNBA for 22 years now and this cements the partnership even more.
All of these star athletes were eventually featured in their own Gatorade commercial. This likely will be coming for Wilson as well.
Wilson has started to create a decorated resume with her basketball accolades to place herself in this position. She has already earned two MVP awards and a Defensive Player of the Year.
She was also a key component to the recipe that lead to the first Las Vegas championship. She has also won a Finals MVP along with a World Cup ring as well.
Even before the WNBA championships, Wilson has had a successful career. In college, she lead the South Carolina Gamecocks to their first title in 2017. The following year she played her first professional season and won WNBA Rookie of the Year.
At the young age of 27, Wilson still has the opportunity to create an even more decorated resume. Las Vegas has come in first place in the WNBA standings the past two seasons in a row.
Only time will tell what other accomplishments are in the future for the 6-4 center.
