No QB room in the NFL is more in flux currently than the one in Minnesota. With Kirk Cousins now in Atlanta, the Vikings are searching for their QB of the future. With two first-round picks now in tow, they are the most likely team to trade up for a QB in this month's draft. The team also signed Sam Darnold and a recent report hints that he will be the team's starter early in the season, no matter who they select in the draft. Head coach Kevin O'Connell also seems optimistic about Darnold's prospects for 2024.
“I think his best football is ahead of him because of how he’s handled the last couple of years," O'Connell said. "Whether it’s going 4-2 down the stretch in Carolina in '22, or when you turn on the tape of his work in San Francisco, you can tell [the 49ers coaches] did a great job in the next phase of his career.”
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. Darnold currently belongs to a dubious fraternity of highly drafted QBs who failed to make at least one Pro Bowl over the course of their NFL careers. So with that in mind, how many of the 37 NFL QBs drafted in the top 10 to never make the Pro Bowl in the Super Bowl era can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
