Every NFL team knows who they will be playing during the 2024 season and where they will be playing them. What they do not know is the when as the football world awaits the release of the 2024 schedule.
It turns out, everybody is going to have to wait at least another week to find out.
According to a report from Sports Business Journal's Ben Fischer on Tuesday night, the league's 32 teams were informed on Tuesday that the schedule will be released next Wednesday, May 15, which is about a week later than it is normally released.
NEWS: The full @NFL schedule is currently slated to be released at 8pm ET on May 15, per memo to teams this afternoon from exec Hans Schroeder.

Teams had been expecting this week, Thursday. Reason for delay not mentioned in memo.
Teams were not informed for any particular reason on the delay, but one speculation was that the league was trying to work around some complications involving the Christmas day games which will take place on a Wednesday.
At this point the only thing we know for certain is that the Kansas City Chiefs are almost certain to open the season at home on a Thursday night as the reigning Super Bowl champions, and that the Philadelphia Eagles are going to play the Green Bay Packers in Brazil the following Friday. That will be the NFL's first regular season game played in South America.
