Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves have the defending champs on the ropes.
On Monday night, without Rudy Gobert, Edwards and company stifled Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and the rest of the Denver Nuggets, taking Game 2 on the road by a score of 106-80. Murray was the most visibly frustrated, throwing a heat pack on the floor in a move that could lead to a suspension. The series shifts to Minnesota, with Game 3 taking place on Friday in what has suddenly become a must-win game for a Nuggets team that many thought would have little trouble returning to the NBA Finals, let alone getting out of the second round.
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. Edwards has been the breakout star of this postseason, averaging 32.3 PPG and drawing comps to the greatest of all time. So, with that in mind, how many of the yearly NBA playoff leaders in points-per-game in the post-merger era (1977 to present) can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
